Maxfield`s Restaurant in Schaumburg

I moved out of town 3 years ago but I always make an effort to stop at Maxfield's when I'm in town. I don't think I've ever been there for lunch or dinner, but their breakfast has always been great. The waitresses are very quick about coffee refills. I'd definitely recommend breakfast at Maxfield's if you've never been :)

Very good food, got us in quickly. We gave an hours notice that 9 of us were coming for breakfast. They had a table ready when we got there.

Terrific old-fashioned place, open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. My visit was noticeably quiet, with large portions served for reasonable prices. Orange juice is freshly squeezed.

Friendly people, lots of choices, ton of food, super clean restrooms!

Great! As usual staff is great, bus boys are right on, just a great place to sit and eat no matter what time of day.

Food was terrible and cold. It wasn't busy, I think there was a total of 5 tables. Sent the cold food back and watched the server put our plates in a microwave.

Best popeye spinach salad and the Sunday Lamb dinner the best

Classic pancake house vibe. Food is good and reasonably priced. Service is friendly without being overbearing.I wish this place was in my town. I will be back.

This is an okay restaurant. My fear is when a restaurant has a huge menu, which this, that it cannot do great food. This place doesn’t do great food it does okay food. They try to give you big portions which makes you think you have really good food, but again it’s just okay.I allowed myself to be fooled with a $13 veal cutlet that came with salad and dessert. All that food for $13 should have been my clue. Do I need to really say more? I think not.

Great wait staff. Ruthie is a stitch. We go there just to enjoy her. Food is good. Breakfast is served very quickly. Have never had anything bad.

Great place, it made us feel like we're in Florida. The employees made us feel very welcoming. We had biscuit and gravy and also pancakes. It taste like they make it there and not frozen food. We will definitely come back soon.

Great little neighborhood breakfast, lunch & dinner place! Usually come here for breakfast but also have many yummy dinner choices! Prices are very reasonable but the service is just outstanding. All the times I've gone, I have never had to wait for a table.

Says they are open, but don’t answer the phone so we assume they are not. A shame. It is our breakfast go to and I would order to pickup if I could. Please fix your site to reflect closed.

This is a typical coffee shop with a vast menu, serving classic breakfast items all day. We did not get the basket of rolls I noticed on other tables - perhaps this only comes with certain menu items. The waitress let us chat and catch up for as long as we wanted before we ordered, which was nice. We also were able to sit and talk for several hours without anyone chasing us out. On the downside, our waitress was completely inattentive and never brought us more water after I asked.I ordered three scrambled egg with potato pancakes. The apple sauce was literally a teaspoon. I asked for maple syrup, because I didn't want to use the other little side of sour cream. The eggs must have been extra small, because they sure didn't look like three eggs. The potato pancakes were so solid and dense, I think I could have used them as brick pavers on my front stoop! Overall, the experience was a little disappointing, considering some of the glowing reviews.

Great local corner restaurant. Good food. Good staff. I can get breakfast all day long. It's a family favorite.

Tried this spot before with my friend and I am hooked ever since. I enjoy the excellent atmosphere and fresh food and drinks. 5 stars.

Reasonable prices. Good size portions.

GOOD FOOD! I ate the half pound cheeseburger with fries and it was delicious. Others in my group ate different things and were all very satisfied. Nice people and the waitress was cute and funny, she had jokes and kept the mood lively. Overall it was a good experience both food and atmosphere, and I would recommend this place to friends and associates. Did I mention the place was clean and no one in my party regretted eating there and they all had good remarks when I asked them if they liked it. I am going to make this a regular stop.

We were visiting from out of town (me my wife and our handicapped daughter) and we were seated right away,so Awesome service,Awesome food,not a long wait for food as it came out pretty quickly, nice people , good waitress,just a really great place/experience! 👍👍👍

We stopped in for a late breakfast on a Tuesday. The service was great, and the food was amazing. I ordered the country skillet with pancakes and she had apple cinnamon crepes. My eggs were over easy and perfect. What more can I say, this place makes great food all the time

Service was friendly and quick. Food was not all that special. A couple of people we were with got sandwiches and no one really liked them. They loved the fries though. Pancakes and eggs were mediocre at best. I got the Philly chicken sandwich. It came with no mayo and the cheese had a funny smell. I didn't really like it. I'd come back here for the pancakes though.

Talk about an amazing breakfast place in the suburbs! I live in the city and am spoiled by city breakfast places. Whenever I visit family in the suburbs, I usually am disappointed by the breakfast selections. My dad recommended we try this place. And I'm blown away. Super polite and instant service. Sat us down right away on a busy Sunday morning. Restaurants looks and smells CLEAN. I ordered the Eggs Benedict, and the English muffins were super soft, eggs cooked perfect, and my side of fruit fresh and not sugary. Fresh squeezed grapefruit juice, and fresh pancakes, I think I found my go to breakfast place now. Highly recommended for fresh food!
